eBay's April 2026 Seller Center update says you can add one video per listing, up to 60 seconds long, in MP4 or MOV format. If your clip is longer, cut it to 60 seconds or less with Sume's Video trim, which returns a new MP4.

How do I trim a clip to 60 seconds?

Import the clip to media.sume.com, then call POST /v1/video-trim with video_url, start and exactly one of end or duration. A duration of 60 gives a 60-second cut; the documented range is 0.2 to 900 seconds.

curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-trim \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: ebay-cut-001" \
  -d '{ "video_url": "https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/listing.mp4", "start": 0, "duration": 60 }'

Exact or keyframe precision?

exact is the default: a frame-accurate re-encode. keyframe is a stream copy, and the cut may start a GOP early, so re-base against actual_start_seconds. If the 60-second ceiling is strict, use exact. Audio is kept by default; audio: "drop" removes it.

What does it cost, and what about MOV?

The Video trim docs give a public rate of $0.02 per job. The result is an MP4, which is one of the two formats eBay lists. More on the endpoint in cut a product video into feed cutdowns.
