About the Services

Sume provides developer tools for avatar, video, and media generation workflows, including API credentials, dashboard workflows, job status, usage views, documentation, and generated media readbacks. Sume may add, remove, suspend, or modify features as the platform evolves.

Accounts and authentication

You may need an account to use the Services. You are responsible for keeping your account, sessions, API keys, service accounts, and credentials secure. Sume may offer Google Sign-In through an authentication provider. If you use Google Sign-In, you authorize Sume and its authentication provider to use the basic Google account information needed to create or access your account and maintain secure sessions.

API keys and developer use

  • Use API keys only from server-side or otherwise secure environments.
  • Do not share, publish, sell, or expose API keys, service-account secrets, session tokens, or other credentials.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account, workspace, and API keys.
  • You must comply with Sume documentation, rate limits, usage policies, security requirements, and applicable law.
  • Sume may suspend, revoke, limit, or throttle access to protect the Services, users, providers, or infrastructure.

Your content

You retain ownership of prompts, scripts, product images, files, URLs, likenesses, references, brand assets, and other content you submit to the Services. You grant Sume the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, store, reproduce, and create outputs from your content to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services. You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed for the content you submit.

Generated outputs

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and applicable law, Sume does not claim ownership of generated outputs created for your account. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publication, distribution, or commercial use. Generated outputs may be inaccurate, unexpected, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable for a particular use case.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Services for unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, fraudulent, defamatory, or rights-infringing activity.
  • Do not submit content, likenesses, voices, brand assets, or private information that you do not have permission to use.
  • Do not create or distribute content that exploits or endangers minors, promotes violence, or violates applicable law.
  • Do not attempt to bypass authentication, billing, credits, rate limits, safety controls, security controls, or provider restrictions.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, interfere with, or disrupt the Services.
  • Do not use the Services to mislead people about the origin, sponsorship, approval, or authenticity of generated media.

Billing, credits, and refunds

Some Services may require credits, paid plans, or usage-based billing. Applicable pricing, credit reservations, captures, refunds, invoices, and payment terms may be shown in the dashboard or documentation. You are responsible for charges incurred by your account or API keys. Credits may expire or be subject to additional terms where stated. Except where required by law or expressly stated by Sume, fees and consumed credits are non-refundable.

Availability and limits

The Services may be unavailable, delayed, rate limited, degraded, or changed from time to time. Generation workflows may depend on infrastructure and third-party services outside Sume's control. Sume does not guarantee that every request will be accepted, completed, or produce a usable result.

Third-party services

Sume uses third-party service providers for authentication, hosting, payments, analytics, infrastructure, media storage and delivery, and AI generation. Your use of the Services may be subject to additional third-party terms where applicable. Sume keeps internal provider routing and workflow details private and exposes Sume-owned product contracts to users.

Sume intellectual property

Sume and its licensors own the Services, including software, systems, interfaces, documentation, trademarks, logos, and other materials we provide. These Terms do not grant you any rights to Sume intellectual property except the limited right to use the Services as permitted by these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. Sume may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the Services or other users, fail to pay amounts due, or if required by law. Some provisions, including those relating to payment, ownership, disclaimers, liability, and dispute handling, survive termination.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. Sume does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, provider availability, or fitness for a particular use. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sume will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Services.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Questions can be sent to dev@sume.com. See also our About page and Privacy Policy.
