What does Suno v6 say about changing one lyric?
The release notes give the example "Change the lyric from 'love' to 'light.'" and say v6 changes one word or line while leaving the rest intact. They also say v6 and v6-wild are available only to paid users. The page does not describe an API for this, so treat it as a product feature of Suno's own app.
Does Sume Music have lyrics to edit?
No. The OpenAPI description for the Music prompt asks for a per-scene brief covering emotion, genre, a BPM number, key and mode, lead instruments, one named arc moment and era, then the closing line "Instrumental, no vocals." The docs describe no lyric field and no way to patch a sung line in an existing track, so check the output yourself if you want vocals.
How do I change a Sume track then?
Change the brief and run again. The docs describe a text prompt with optional image conditioning and no seed, temperature, guidance or duration parameter, so a re-run is a new generation, not an in-place edit. Exclusions go in the positive prompt, for example "no vocals, no spoken word". The prompt also says not to include duration or duration_seconds. How much does a re-roll cost?
The Music 1.0 page lists a fixed $0.125 USD per accepted generation, independent of prompt length or optional image conditioning. Music 1.0 is marked as retiring and resolves through the Music Router; the rate card currently lists music generation at $0.125 per audio. Iterating on a brief means paying per attempt.
