Why send duration every time?
If you omit duration, the estimate assumes a 4-second clip, which under-reports what a longer clip will cost. Set it explicitly and price the request first with estimate AI video cost before you run.
What changes the price besides length and resolution?
A reference video changes the estimate; see video reference cost. Aspect ratio moves it by cents: at 720p and 10 seconds, 21:9 and 4:3 come to slightly more than 16:9.
