The minimum length for a Pinterest video pin is 4 seconds, with a maximum of 15 minutes, according to Pinterest's product specs. In Sume, seedance-2.5 accepts 4 to 30 seconds, so even its shortest clip meets that floor. Shorter-capable models need care.

Pinterest also recommends 6 to 15 seconds for video ads and, for organic and paid pins, square or vertical (2:3, 4:5 or 9:16). Pinterest facts are from its product specs page and Sume facts from the video generation docs, both read 2026-10-01.

Which Sume video models can fall under 4 seconds?

What does the 4-second floor mean for my request?

Treat it as a lower bound you set yourself. A model that accepts 2 or 3 seconds will happily make a clip Pinterest rejects, so pin duration to 4 or more. Read supported_durations on the catalog row first.

How do I get a vertical pin video?

Request a vertical aspect_ratio such as 9:16 on the generation call. If you assemble several clips in Timeline 1.0, the default output is 1080x1920 MP4, which is vertical. Transitions apply only to slots after the first, so a two-clip pin gets one transition between the clips.

How long should the pin be?

For ads, Pinterest recommends 6 to 15 seconds, which sits inside every range above. For checks on the other pin specs, see Pinterest pin specs.
