Meta Creator Marketing Hub: what Sume can do to a creator clip
Meta's Creator Marketing Hub unifies Creator Marketplace and Partnership Ads. Sume cannot join it, but it can trim a creator clip and burn captions on it.

On September 15, 2026 Meta announced a Creator Marketing Hub that unifies Creator Marketplace and the Partnership Ads Hub, with one-click ad creation and content-level permissions that carry expiration dates. Sume is not part of that hub and does not call its APIs. It can work on a creator's clip once you have the file and the right to use it: trim it and add captions.
Meta facts are from its Business news post, read 2026-10-01. Sume facts are from Video trim and Video captions.
What does the hub change?
| Item | Meta says |
|---|---|
| Hub | Creator Marketplace and Partnership Ads Hub unified |
| Ad creation | One click |
| Permissions | Content level, with expiration dates |
| Editing | Ad-readiness features such as removing copyrighted music or stickers |
What can Sume do to the clip?
Two things, both on a file you already hold: cut it with POST /v1/video-trim and burn captions with POST /v1/video-captions. Captions need a public HTTPS video_url and audible speech, or authored cues. Sume does not take over Meta's own editing features, and it cannot separate speech from music, so it will not pull copyrighted music out of a mixed track.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-captions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"video_url": "https://example.com/creator-clip.mp4",
"style": "punch",
"language": "en"
}'What must I get from the creator first?
Written permission to edit and run the clip, and the expiry date of that permission, since Meta's hub tracks it per piece of content. Record the date next to the file so a cut or captioned copy is not served after it lapses. For the music side see the Reels audio post. Confirm Meta's current terms on its page.
