Facebook Reels API: 30 posts per 24 hours, Instagram allows 100
Meta's Reels Publishing API allows 30 API-published posts in a 24-hour moving period, enforced on video_reels. Here is how to split a 100-item Sume queue.

A Facebook Page can have 30 Reels published through Meta's API in any rolling 24 hours; the cap is checked at POST /{page_id}/video_reels. That is under a third of Instagram's figure, so a 100-clip Sume batch needs four Facebook windows. Figures are from Meta's pages as read 2026-10-01.
What does a four-window schedule look like?
The page says Reels can only be published to Facebook Pages, and recommends your app enforce the cap itself, particularly for scheduled posts. Instagram's separate 100 is covered in the Instagram limit post.
| Window | Queue positions published | Running total |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 to 30 | 30 |
| 2 | 31 to 60 | 60 |
| 3 | 61 to 90 | 90 |
| 4 | 91 to 100 | 100 |
How should the Sume queue be cut?
A queue takes items of 1 to 100, per Bulk runs. Either send one 100-item queue and publish in order, or send queues of 30 so each lines up with a window. Meta counts publishes, not renders, so render speed does not matter for the cap.
What must each clip satisfy before Facebook takes it?
The same page lists 9 x 16, 1080 x 1920 recommended, 3 to 90 seconds, and .mp4 recommended; details are in Facebook Reels video length.

Sume's video filter allowlists colorlevels. Raising the output black point (romin, gomin, bomin) lifts pure black to dark gray for a faded, matte look.
