The Sume API: video and image models on one key

The Sume API at open.sume.com runs Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan and other video and image models on one key: submit a job, then poll or take a webhook.

The Sume API is the developer side of Sume: one API key at open.sume.com runs every video and image model Sume offers, including Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan and GPT Image. You submit a job, get its id at once, then poll it or take a webhook, and each model is priced per use with the price shown before it runs.

The docs are at open.sume.com/docs, and the quickstart makes one image in three calls.

How does a call work?

Create a key on open.sume.com and send it as Authorization: Bearer or x-api-key. Start a video with POST /v1/video-router/generate on https://api.open.sume.com, naming a model id such as seedance-2.5 or kling-3, or auto to let Sume pick (Generate a video). Images use POST /v1/image-router/generate.

The call answers 202 Accepted with a job id. Poll the job, or set mode: "webhook" with a public HTTPS webhook_url and Sume posts the outcome when the job finishes (Webhooks). An Idempotency-Key makes a retry return the original job.

From the Sume API docs.
StepCall
Price itPOST /v1/open/estimate
Start a videoPOST /v1/video-router/generate
Start an imagePOST /v1/image-router/generate
Follow the jobGET the job, or a webhook

What does it cost?

Each model has its own per-use price, listed on the API pricing page. POST /v1/open/estimate prices the exact request before you submit it, and a failed job's reserved price is refunded.

What happened to the older Developer API?

Earlier Sume guides described a Developer API on api.sume.com, with routes such as /v1/videos, Format runs and Agent Completions. New work should use the Sume API above. To make ads without code, Sume's agents do the whole job in the app.
