Faceless YouTube channel from outlier videos: what Sume covers
Sume's trending search is TikTok-only, so find YouTube outliers in YouTube Studio. The long faceless build is one Timeline of up to 1,800 seconds.

Sume cannot find YouTube outliers: its trending-video search supports only TikTok (platform defaults to tiktok and that is the only value). Use YouTube Studio's new Research destination for YouTube outliers, then build the faceless video in Sume as a Timeline, which renders up to 1,800 seconds (30 minutes) in one job.
YouTube's announcement says its new Insights and Research destinations help creators understand past video performance and discover outlier videos. Sume facts are from the Trending videos and Timeline 1.0 docs, read 2026-10-01.
What can Sume research for me?
POST /v1/trending-videos/search returns ranked public TikTok video metadata: watch URLs, cover thumbnails, author handles, metrics and optional summaries. It is a paid research utility, not a generation model, and it does not download source files. Treat its output as topic and hook ideas, not as YouTube data.
How long can the faceless build be?
A Timeline takes an audio spine and up to 200 video slots. The spine is what sets the length.
| Field | Limit |
|---|---|
audio.duration_seconds | 1 to 1800 s, required |
video[] | 1 to 200 slots |
audio.parts[] | Up to 20 gapless slices |
| Default output | 1080x1920 MP4 |
| Render price | $0.10 per output minute |
How do I get a landscape YouTube video?
The default output is 1080x1920, a vertical frame. For a landscape video, set output.width and output.height (even integers from 256 to 2160) in the render request, and use a fit of cover or blur per slot to control how clips fill the frame.
What is the workflow end to end?
Write the script from the outlier ideas you found. Generate narration, generate or import b-roll and music, import everything to media.sume.com with POST /v1/media-imports, and preflight with the unbilled /plan call before the render. For the pieces and prompts, see faceless video: voiceover, b-roll, music and assemble long-form video.
