TikTok Symphony Agent: the same flow through one Sume API run
Symphony Agent turns a product image and a reference video into a brief, storyboard and video. sume-recreate does the reference-to-video part in one API run.

Symphony Agent, announced June 22 2026, lets an advertiser upload a product image, pick a TikTok trend or a custom reference video, and walk through a brief, an insight report, a storyboard and a final video. On Sume the reference-to-video part is one run of the sume-recreate Format, called with a product image and a pasted reference.
Symphony facts are from TikTok's Symphony Agent post, read 2026-09-30. Sume facts are from the Format catalog and Create a run.
How does Symphony Agent work, per TikTok?
A prompt box on the home page takes a product image and a trend (a template, a top ad trend, or a custom reference video). The workflow creates a product brief, an insight report (for top ad trends or uploaded references), a storyboard and the video, and you can give feedback in the prompt box at each step.
What does sume-recreate do?
The Format's instruction says to recreate the structure of a pasted TikTok or Instagram URL or an attached clip: keep its scene order, beat timing, caption rhythm and music-or-voice choice, cast a new presenter, and generate every still, clip, audio track and caption from scratch. It is one of the callable catalog slugs at the sume handle.
| Symphony Agent step | On Sume |
|---|---|
| Upload product image | attachments image on the run |
| Pick a custom reference video | Reference URL or clip in input or instruction |
| Brief, insight report, storyboard | No separate deliverables documented; the run returns the finished video |
| Final video | The run's output, read from its receipt |
| Feedback in the prompt box | A follow-up run with previous_run_id |
How do I call it?
POST /v1/formats/sume/sume-recreate/runs with a key that carries formats:write, an Idempotency-Key header, your instruction and attachments. The catalog Format stays shared; the run and its spend belong to your key. You can bound spend with generation_spend_cap_usd, up to the platform maximum of $500.
Is it the same output as Symphony Agent?
No claim of equivalence is made. Symphony Agent is tied to TikTok's trend data and Ads Manager. For a deeper walkthrough of reference remixing, see UGC remix from a TikTok reference.
