Threads video posts through Meta's API can be up to 300 seconds (5 minutes) and 1 GB, in MOV or MP4 with H.264 or HEVC. Aspect ratio may range from 0.01:1 to 10:1, with 9:16 recommended, and the maximum width is 1920 pixels. Read 2026-09-29 from Meta's Threads posts page.

Frame rate is 23 to 60 fps. Audio is AAC up to 48 kHz, mono or stereo. Bitrate is VBR up to 100 Mbps.

How do I make a 9:16 Threads video with Sume?

Generate with aspect_ratio: "9:16", which seedance-2.5 and wan-3.0 both list. A 1080x1920 output is inside the 1920 max width.

For anything longer than one clip, Timeline 1.0 accepts an audio spine up to 1800 seconds; a 5-minute post is 300 seconds. Output fps options are 24, 25, 30 and 60, all inside 23 to 60.

Do I need to worry about the file-size limit?

1 GB is far above a 1080p short clip, but Sume does not publish size or bitrate guarantees. Probe the output with POST /v1/video-inspect when a post is near the limit.

What are the limits of this answer?
