Sora 2 vs Sora 2 Pro tiers: Sume's four Seedance prices
Sora split speed (sora-2) from quality (sora-2-pro) before the API ended. Sume has four Seedance tiers; each one's 5-second 720p and 1080p price.

Sume's closest shape to the Sora split is its four Seedance ids: seedance-2-mini, seedance-2-fast, seedance-2 and seedance-2.5. A 5-second 16:9 clip at 720p reserves $0.95 on the cheapest and $2.89 on seedance-2.5. Which one looks better for your subject is a test you have to run; this page only compares the price and the limits Sume publishes.
OpenAI's guide, read 2026-10-01, described sora-2 as optimized for speed and iteration and sora-2-pro as production-quality output, with 1920x1080 and 1080x1920 available on the Pro model. The Videos API was shut down on 2026-09-24.
What does a 5-second clip cost on each tier?
Reserved amounts at list x 1.25 from Sume's pricing code, 16:9, before any agent fee.
| Model | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|
seedance-2-mini | $0.95 | $2.13 |
seedance-2-fast | $1.52 | $3.41 |
seedance-2 | $1.89 | $4.26 |
seedance-2.5 | $2.89 | $7.11 |
How do the limits differ?
The three 2.0 ids accept 4 to 15 seconds; seedance-2.5 accepts 4 to 30. All four offer 480p, 720p and 1080p, take first and last frames, and accept image, video and audio references. Details are in the video docs.
How do I iterate cheap, then render final?
Draft on a low tier at 480p, then resend the winning prompt on the model you want to ship. Pin the id in model for both steps; sume/auto lets Sume pick the family and does not disclose which one ran, so it is a poor fit for a controlled comparison.
