Seedance 2.5 and Kling 3.0 differ mainly in clip length and reference handling. Seedance 2.5 takes 4 to 30 seconds per request and up to 12 references on Sume; Kling 3.0 tops out at 15 seconds in Sume's catalog and takes no input_references there.

This page compares published specs only. Kling's numbers come from its VIDEO 3.0 user guide; Seedance's from ByteDance's launch post and Sume's video docs.

How do the specs compare?

Two rows for length, because the vendor page and Sume's catalog say different things for Kling.

Why are two length rows different?

Kling's page describes a 3 to 15 second range; Sume's catalog lists 4 to 15 for kling-3. Send what the catalog lists when you call Sume.

How do I choose?

Pick by the constraint that binds. Need a clip over 15 seconds, a 21:9 frame, or audio and video references: Seedance 2.5. Need only 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 up to 15 seconds: both work. Kling's page also describes 2 to 4 reference images for elements; that is a feature of Kling's own product, not of Sume's kling-3 request.

Can I try both from one request shape?

Yes. model is the only field that changes between them; see one API for Kling, Seedance and other video models.
