Do Runway credits roll over? Max plan: one month

Runway's pricing page says Max credits roll over for 1 month. Sume's plan descriptions list no monthly credit allotment, so there is no plan roll-over.

Partly. Runway's pricing page lists "Credits roll over 1 mo." on the Max plan, which is 9500 credits per month, and "Roll over unused credits for 1 month" in its feature list. The snapshot does not say the same for other plans. Sume's public plan descriptions list no monthly credit allotment, and you hold a USD balance, so there is no plan roll-over to compare.

Runway facts are from runwayml.com/pricing, read 2026-10-01; check the page for your plan before relying on them.

What does Runway's page say about Max?

The Max card shows 9500 credits per month and "Credits roll over 1 mo.". Read literally, unused credits carry for one month after the month they came from. The page does not spell out the exact accounting, so confirm how the carry applies before planning around it.

How does a Sume balance behave?

The Sume usage docs say the balance is USD-denominated. The ledger shows reservations, captures, refunds, top-ups and grants. A reservation is held when a job is accepted and captured when it completes, and the other entries move the balance up or down. The pricing page notes that credit allotments do not belong in plan descriptions, because usage is billed at each model's published rate.

Wallet purchases run from $10 to $1000. See how AI credits work and the Credits docs.

Does Sume say a balance never expires?

The docs read for this post do not state an expiry rule either way, so do not assume one. Read GET /v1/balance for the current figure and GET /v1/usage for how it got there.
