LinkedIn carousel ads need a minimum of two and a maximum of ten cards, each up to 10 MB, with 1080 x 1080 (1:1) recommended and a 4320 x 4320 maximum. Videos cannot be added. With Sume, one image job returns 1 to 4 images, so a ten-card carousel is at least three jobs.

LinkedIn figures are from its Help page, read 2026-10-01. Sume limits are from the image docs.

What does LinkedIn require for a carousel?

Card formats are JPG, PNG and non-animated GIF. Introductory text is 150 characters to avoid truncation (255 max); the ad name takes up to 255. Once the ad is saved you cannot edit the cards.

LinkedIn carousel card rules, read 2026-10-01.

How do I make ten cards on Sume?

num_images accepts an integer from 1 to 4, so generate in batches: 4 + 4 + 2 covers ten. Keep one style description across the jobs so the cards match, and review all ten before you save, since LinkedIn locks the cards after saving.

Which size should I request?

Ask for a 1:1 aspect_ratio where the model lists it; the Images API docs cover aspect ratio options. Custom pixels on GPT models are capped at a 3840 max edge with both edges multiples of 16, below LinkedIn's 4320 ceiling, but 1080 x 1080 is inside both rules.

Can a card be a video?

No. The LinkedIn page for creating carousel image ads says videos cannot be added. For motion, use a different ad format; the LinkedIn video size post covers it.
